Summer 2010

WOW - I can't believe I actually went an entire month without blogging! BUT I took some time off from technology to spend priceless time with family and make summer memories with Ella and Adam! So many things have happened since last time, this will mostly be pictures. But it's so worth it because this summer I took the time to print all of the blog posts from 2009 and put them into an 'ultimate scrapbook' (as I call it)!

Something we did a couple times this summer was go peach picking!! It was a very fun time, and a play date we did with a local MOMS club!

Then both times, we came home and made fresh peach pie!!

We spent lots of time doing play dates (and LOTS of birthday parties)!!

And going to the lake!! Ella LOVED the lake!

She actually got really comfortable with the water!

And here she is enjoying her art easel (and this is a typical summer day around the house playing, and being wet - because we went swimming almost every day)!

We also went to Kings Dominion twice!! And Ella got the treat of having her 'best friend' (as she says) Mia and her family come along!

We also went to the National Zoo in Washington DC. While Ella did enjoy seeing the animals, she mostly enjoyed riding the 'train'!!! Here she is with her cousin waiting for the metro!

Our summer officially 'ended' (because of having to go back to school) with a trip to the West Virginia State Fair...and Ella had the time of her life!! Her dream (along with wanting to ride a train - which she got to do, an airplane, and a school bus) was to ride a roller coaster, and she rode every ride she possibly could until she was completely exhausted!!

And Mia and her family joined us there as well!

So as you can see, fun was had by ALL this summer! We are now back in school full swing (I've completed my second week, and Adam his first)...We both have our new jobs so it has been an adjustment, but after all the fun, excitement and activity this summer it was going to be hard to go back to a normal routine anyway!!
