First of March Already!

Time is flying as usual! We had a great weekend and a great last weekend - which there are some pretty cute pics from!
We went to Nana's from Friday until Monday - enjoyed a long weekend, and were able to spend some time with the great-grandmothers as well as enjoy time snowtubing and snowboarding!
So much has gone on with our jobs, but the latest looks like we are staying open for now - here's a really good article if you have time to read, that brings out everything about what went on with the proposed closing of our center...http://www2.timesdispatch.com/rtd/News/state_regional/article/HOSP21_20100220-220602/325757/#comments

We have also been more and more active in our church lately - we have found one that we really like - it has lots of children and activities for children, but at the same time is a growing church and not TOO big. Adam and I have met a few couples with young children and it has been nice to get to know them!
We also did our Sunday family swim at the YMCA, and then spent the evening with our good friends (who just so happen to have a daughter that is Ella's 'best' bud!)
I can't believe tomorrow starts March - and at the same time I can not WAIT for warm weather!

Happy Valentine's Day!

The Conners have had a wonderful Valentine weekend! Friday we went to a Valentine play date with Ella's friends (and their parents are all friends of ours), and it was so great to be out and see everyone! The kids had a great time getting together - and the adults REALLY appreciated being around other adults, since everyone has been snowed in the past few weeks!
Then on Saturday, Adam and I got to go on our annual Valentine's Day date! We didn't do an overnight, like we have the past couple years because we really need to watch $ - especially with the uncertainty of our jobs - BUT it was so nice to have alone time to go to dinner and a movie as a couple! It's so important to us because as long as we keep the close connection to each other, the better parents we will be!

Since the last post - we have been snowed in again, and this was the scene out our front window ('whiteout')!!

And with being snowed in, we stocked up on activities to do with Ella, which included baking again!

She loves stirring and pouring ingredients in, and as you an see from the first picture, her 'Dowa' (Dora) doll has to do everything with us!

Here she is at her V-Day play date. They did crafts and decorated cookies - our friends Jen and Steve did a wonderful job hosting this event!!

And of course the kids just loved running around playing!

And this is from church this morning. Ella has made some friends at church as well, so she was all dressed up to pass out some Valentine's to them!
The 'Ella Picture of the Week' is from Valentine's Day a year ago - it's so crazy, because that pic was in with ones of her very first pair of shoes!! She's been through so many pairs in the past year, and this year our big excitement is that she is potty trained!!! ALWAYS something new and exciting with being parents - and always so amazing to think back on where we were a year ago! I wouldn't go back, and don't want to go forward too fast - just want to enjoy where we are right now!!

Video Bonus!

Ok - if at first you don't succeed...and by the way, the uploading of this video had nothing to do with Blogger - let's just say 'user error'!!
Here's the video of Ella at gymnastics!! Enjoy!!
No really new updates, except that we are officially 'snowed in'!! I think we have around 30in - we tried to play in it today, but it's way too deep for Ella to even enjoy! Next weekend should be full of Valentine fun to post about - in the mean time, we hope everyone is staying warm and dry!

What a Winter!!

YAY! We love snow days!! We had an awesome weekend this past weekend - Nana came and it snowed LOTS - so we actually got to play out in the snow with her...we also played inside and made some sweet treats!

Not too much else to update - just snow, snow and more snow on the way this coming weekend! We haven't committed to anything for Super Bowl this Sunday because we are waiting to see what the weather is going to do!

We haven't heard much more about our jobs, but we may know more in the next couple weeks - the most stressful part is NOT knowing what is going to happen - I would rather know - even if it's bad news!!

After Ella played with Nana this weekend, she also got a visit from Grandma (Adam's mom) on Monday, and she came to 'nastics' (as Ella calls it) with us. I have made several failed attempts to upload videos of nasitcs, and I have come to the conclusion that Blogger is having some difficulties with their uploading, so I'll try next post!
