Pigtails!!

So I'm trying to keep up with the blogging a little better this time - I don't think it's been quite as long as last time...

Things have been going really well. Adam and I are back to work in full swing with students and our regular schedules. Prior to last week, we do different activities with the kids before school actually starts, but it has been a really smooth transition back into the normal routine. It's so nice to not have the threat of closure looming over us, or in the picture at all!
Outside of work, we have been busy as usual, however we were slowed down quite a bit by Ella coming down with a pretty bad virus (after being in day care for like a week - of course!) She was SOOO sick last weekend - as many of you know a sick baby is the pits! - and we weren't able to go to West Virginia for the fair - one of the first fairs I've missed! We were completely packed and ready to leave after work last Friday, but by the time we got home the poor thing was miserable (with high fever, throwing up, etc.) - these things seem to come on so fast! BUT she is much better now, and we had a great weekend and have still been doing fun things as a family - like going on bike rides, playing at the park and various playgrounds close to our house, etc. Adam went to a concert on Saturday and Ella and I enjoyed some Mommy/Ella time at the playground at the mall (which of course includes a ride on the carousel!), Cici's Pizza, and the park.
Her newest thing is wanting pigtails!! And she looks absolutely adorable with them! She is getting such a little personality on her! This evening she actually cried because she was wearing this cute little yellow shirt with a dog on it and didn't want to take it off for bath time!! She was in the tub wailing 'DOGGIE'!! Her speech/language is coming along so great - I couldn't believe the other day when she was constantly tapping me on my arm and saying something - I turned around and realized where she was tapping me and that she was saying 'Elbow'!!! I have noticed that day care has been great for her! She interacts so well with other children (on playgrounds and at the nursery at church) and is picking up new words.
Here's a cute one of one of the pigtails :-)!!

This one showcases both!!

I put this pic in because I realized that since I primarily do the blogging, I often forget to put in cute pictures of Ella and her 'Papa' (as she calls him)! She looks like such a big girl!
She had her 15 month check up (in the midst of all the sickness) and she is around 22lbs and 32in. Growing so fast!! I have been trying to post the "Ella picture of the week" pictures from around the same time last year - the changes are just amazing!
