Ahhh SUMMER!!!

So it's been a little while since I last posted, but May was such a fast moving month, I could hardly keep up with daily life, much less this blog!

But now we are into summer, and life is GREAT for the Conners. Some quick updates:

- Adam finished out his year wonderfully, and secured a football coaching job for next year - he is really excited about that, and Ella and I are looking forward to being his cheerleaders!

- Ella is growing and changing like crazy of course! She had her 3yr check up this week and is 35 lbs, 39 inches. The doctor was so pleased with her progress, and said she is a very healthy, bright little lady!

- I will be teaching at VSDB next year and am REALLY excited about this move, I'm finishing up a class right now about teaching individuals with Visual Impairments, and have thoroughly enjoyed it - it seems like I'm the queen of changing jobs, but one day I will find one that suits - as long as I do my best with the most important job ever - raising Ella - all else will fall into place :)

And thus begins summer! The picture at the top is intended to show that we have been going non-stop with all kinds of fun activities. From going to the river, the lake, Granny's pool, playdates, and yesterday we even spent at King's Dominion!

Anything we do outdoors suits Ella!

Since it's summer and we don't have to get up early, she had her first experience with fireflies! I'm sure the neighbors loved to see us all out in our PJs with a net chasing fireflies that we put into a jar (and for all of you animal rights activists - we let them go immediately after taking them inside to light up Ella's room :).

Other than that - when we do stay close, we dress up, do tatoos, paint nails (and pictures), play in our hot tub 'pool', jump on the trampoline, make pancakes in the morning (one of Ella's absolute favorites - cooking), play baby dolls and Barbie, and watch movies in the evenings! What a wonderful life indeed!!
Oh yeah - and we go to the park (many different surrounding parks) all the time! Next week we are headed to the beach, for our first week - then we get to go back in July! We are so blessed!
