Happy Late Valentine's Day!! Life for the Conners has been going well!!
Even though people have mixed feelings on Valentine's Day, Adam and I take that day (or close to it), to just spend together and reconnect - sometimes the day to day business of running a household with a small child and working full time can take it's toll - so instead of the flowers, candy and gifts (which don't get me wrong can be just as poignant) we typically go out for an evening or weekend. This year, we went to the Homestead - where we got married - and went snowboarding!! It was truly a BLAST! We were NOT cutting up the slopes by any means, but it was a personal best trip for both of us!

I hate the lift - so here is a picture of us on it! I can NEVER seem to get off without getting pummled by oncoming chairs (and Adam falling on top of me as well :0))...this time was no different but still fun!

Ella stayed at Nana's while we were on the slopes, and she had a wonderful time! When we got back, she had a Valentine's Day party at the church - she LOVES her church friends!

After that, I was hit with some sort of flu bug which had me down for about 4 days, and then last weekend was WONDERFUL because as much as we loving going out and having fun, we love staying home and having fun too! We had a family pizza making party - where we each made our own dough and put on our own toppings!! Then Sunday did our usual family swim at the YMCA.

This weekend we are home again, and Ella has a friend over to play - they went to gymnastics this morning (I have some cute video of Ella's gymnastics/cheerleading class, which I hope to post soon) and now they are having tea parties, playing dolls and dress up AND (if you can believe it) reading books together!!
We can't wait for spring and pretty weather. I hope it is coming soon - and with it being only a few days away from March, the countdown to birthday #3 begins!!!
