Then came our first bit of SNOW - and lots of cold weather to follow!!
Here we are at the Waynesboro Christmas parade - it was SO much fun because it was POURING the snow - we bundled up with lots of layers and drank hot chocolate and hot cider!
Next was Ella's big debut in the Christmas program at our church! She was a beautiful angel, and even said a line!! What a wonderful, proud moment for us (and of course the grandparents and even great-grandparents came to watch)!!!
After that, we had a string of Christmas parties and activities - a Polar Express themed party, a MOMS Club Christmas dinner, church Sunday school party/gift exchange, and of course doing activities at home (like making a Gingerbread house)!!
Ella LOVED going to all of these events - especially with her 'best friend' (as she says) Mia - who just got a new baby brother!!
Then came Christmas Eve! Ella has been so scared of Santa this year, so she didn't even want him to come - so Christmas Eve we went to church to celebrate Jesus' birthday - and her Grandma (and Adam's side of the family) came over afterward for dinner.

Christmas morning she changed her tune a bit about Santa when she saw that he brought her the drum set and special doll she had been wanting!! She was SOOO excited! She still kept in perspective the 'reason for the season' though by reminding us that it was Jesus' birthday :)
Nana and Bob came to see us the day after Christmas for some shopping!! We all love Kohl's -so we took a family trip there and had a blast!!!
Until Ella couldn't stay awake any longer!! I think all the excitement started to settle down and she just had to give in!

That's it for us in a nutshell - other than these things we went to see the Polar Express at a special showing at the new movie theater here, went to an indoor water park close by, had a good visit from 'Uncle B' (my brother) Adam and I actually celebrated New Year's by staying out - YAY - and yesterday we completed our break from school (2 and 1/2 weeks due to snow) by going to Chuck-E-Cheese!!
We are looking forward to all 2011 has in store - mostly watching Ella continue to grow, as we grow along with her as a family! These moments that we share are truly priceless!!
