Happy Valentine's Day!

The Conners have had a wonderful Valentine weekend! Friday we went to a Valentine play date with Ella's friends (and their parents are all friends of ours), and it was so great to be out and see everyone! The kids had a great time getting together - and the adults REALLY appreciated being around other adults, since everyone has been snowed in the past few weeks!
Then on Saturday, Adam and I got to go on our annual Valentine's Day date! We didn't do an overnight, like we have the past couple years because we really need to watch $ - especially with the uncertainty of our jobs - BUT it was so nice to have alone time to go to dinner and a movie as a couple! It's so important to us because as long as we keep the close connection to each other, the better parents we will be!

Since the last post - we have been snowed in again, and this was the scene out our front window ('whiteout')!!

And with being snowed in, we stocked up on activities to do with Ella, which included baking again!

She loves stirring and pouring ingredients in, and as you an see from the first picture, her 'Dowa' (Dora) doll has to do everything with us!

Here she is at her V-Day play date. They did crafts and decorated cookies - our friends Jen and Steve did a wonderful job hosting this event!!

And of course the kids just loved running around playing!

And this is from church this morning. Ella has made some friends at church as well, so she was all dressed up to pass out some Valentine's to them!
The 'Ella Picture of the Week' is from Valentine's Day a year ago - it's so crazy, because that pic was in with ones of her very first pair of shoes!! She's been through so many pairs in the past year, and this year our big excitement is that she is potty trained!!! ALWAYS something new and exciting with being parents - and always so amazing to think back on where we were a year ago! I wouldn't go back, and don't want to go forward too fast - just want to enjoy where we are right now!!
